ÖZERBAND- Özer Konveyör Band Sanayii ve Ticaret A.Ş

Özer Konveyör Band Sanayii ve Ticaret A.Ş. is the flagship of Özerler Holding. After being founded in 1976 it commenced production in 1977. Today, ÖZERBAND boasts a production facility of over 74,433 m2 outdoor and 16,607 m2 indoor area, and an annual conveyor-belt production capacity of 454,836 m2 of steel and textile carcass, which makes us the LARGEST conveyor-belt manufacturer in Turkey, and the SOLE manufacturer of steel carcass conveyor belts in Turkey. We are also the manufacturer of the WIDEST textile carcass belts, with the ability to provide widths of up to 2500 mm.

Leaving the competition in our wake thanks to our high quality solutions, Özerband was also the very first company to manufacture steel cord conveyor belts in 1982. In the same year, we recorded the very first conveyor belt export to Pakistan, which was soon followed by exports to Iraq, Iran, Libya, Romania, Jordan, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Serbia, Austria, Sweden, Russia, the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States. Our efforts to expand within the global market have yielded great results, with further exports also to Slovenia, Tunisia, Peru, Ghana and Venezuela.

Conveyor-belt manufacturing requires employment of high technology in all phases of production, and Özerband is today the sector leader, with the proud claim to the most advanced technologies and machinery in Turkey. Our plant includes seven vulcanization presses, one rotocures, four calenders, 10 pulp machines, four Banbury mixers, as well as upcut shears and laboratory devices, all of which work in perfect harmony as part of our automation system, ensuring high efficiency and quality.

Özerband’s sectoral leadership is based on its textile belts, the production of which started in 1977, to be followed by steel belts in 1982. In 1999, we were producing four product types according to the carcass, four according to the coating and six according to the angle.  Thanks to our technological renewal and expansion investments, our company has succeeded in continuously increasing its production capacity, and today has an output that is twice the volume of the conveyor-belt demand in Turkey.

We produce textile and steel conveyor belts, and satisfy the conveyor belt demand in Turkey, while also exporting all over the world.

Conveyor belts are used for the transportation of bulk materials between locations, and have two main parts: the carcass structure, and the coating rubber. The carcass structure is the load-bearing part of the system, and the coating rubber is the outer surface of the carcass that protects the carcass from impacts. It is an efficient and cost-effective solution. Conveyor-belts minimize the human factor, and enable the fast and safe transportation of all kinds of wet or dry materials.

Conveyor belts must be able to resist not only the required pulling force and mechanical and corrosive abrasion effects of the material, but also such factors as temperature and humidity. They are subject to impact forces at the loading points and bending forces at the turns.

A quality conveyor belt must have a low specific weight, high strength, low rate of elongation under stress, resistance to impact caused by winding on the drums and corrugation, resistance to alternating stresses caused by bending and resistance to the abrasive effects of the material. They must also have a long economic life.
